Behind Alpha Line Thread
In 2007 I started my apprenticeship, I was wearing out all the lineman shirts I would get from vendors, storms and rodeos - just because I loved what it represented, more than anything else. I was always looking for lineman shirts, hats and stickers but they were always the same: IBEW hand, two men hot sticking, or a skull with lightning bolts. After years of marketing, budgeting, and looking for vendors and designers, I got the LLC Alpha Line Thread in 2018.
The name Alpha comes from my best friend who lost his long, hard-fought battle with Leukemia. His nickname “Alpha” started as a childhood joke that stuck, but he truly lived up to his nickname as he battled chemotherapy multiple times, dozens of blood transfusions, and even experimental treatments. Not once did he complain or even let people feel bad for him. He was a great friend to many and is still missed dearly.
Alpha Line Thread is a celebration of the hard work put in by everyone in the trade. We are honored to put together a collection of premium clothing with great art that is designed, printed, and sent to you from New England. I like these hats, I use them as work hats and going out hats, the navy and white is by far my favorite. The black doesn’t show dirt and sweat like the lighter colors. Will definitely buy more when mine get worn out
